Muscle Memory

Interoceptive awareness means: the conscious perception of sensations from inside the body.

When we take the visual anchor away by closing our eyes we can focus on our heart beat, our breathing or the tone in our muscles.

It also functions as a reminder to recognize what works well in our body. For example if we feel that eight hours of sleep makes us feel good in the morning, we will remember this and it will naturally guide us back to this sleeping pattern.

In Yoga, this week, we will explore the concept, interoceptive awareness, in our bodies and develop so called; "Muscle Memory.”

We will target deeper muscles, connective tissue, movement and balance.

And we will play with different poses and sun-salutations with one eye or both eyes closed.

It will help us find a deeper relationship with our core and tune in more to our natural rhythm.

Please bring a BLOCK to class.

Much love,

Marielle
