The Shoulder

Today is the right time to revisit The Shoulder, to get the most out of our last month of Summer.

So we can freely dance, garden, canoe, swim and celebrate….

The Shoulder is an amazing act of engineering.

It is build up with two primary joints:

-The Gleno-Humerol joint ( ball and socket joint, connecting the arms to the shoulders. )

-The Scapula ( shoulder blades ) creating mobility over the ribs.

Often disfunction in the shoulder tends to radiate into symptoms elsewhere in the body.

In order to acquire healthy stability and mobility in the shoulder girdle, we are going to address the following muscles:

-Pec Minor, stabilizing and mobilizing the scapula.

-Deltoids, help move your arms in different directions.

-Serratus Anterior, lift the ribs and assisting with breathing.

-Rhomboid, stabilize, elevate and rotate the scapula.

Please bring a STRAP to this Yoga class.

Much love,

Marielle
